New to Safeguarding in Early Years & Childcare Practice ONLINE VIA TEAMS Wednesday 12th & 19th June 2024 - 6.30pm-8.30pm The training is available to all Early Years and Childcare settings, Childminders, Children’s Centres and Out of School Clubs to meet the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory welfare requirements. Training available is accessible to practitioners from Ofsted registered provision and school governor run provision. New to Safeguarding in Early Years and Childcare (Note: this course has replaced Basic Child Protection) An introduction to safeguarding and child protection for people who are new to early years and childcare. This course will look at safeguarding as an umbrella term and consider child protection as part of wider safeguarding issues. The course covers the four categories of abuse, along with the signs and indicators to consider. It looks at Warwickshire specific procedures and information alongside national expectations for good practice in safeguarding and child protection. At the end of the course you will be able to recognise the signs and indicators of neglect and abuse and know what to do if you have a concern about a child. All courses have been approved by Warwickshire Education Safeguarding Service
