A closer look at a day in the life of a 2 year old and the early years workers who care for them.
The learning environment and the staff team are absolutely essential with regards to getting it right for twos. The space and resources on offer will impact the mood and behaviour of the children as well as the staff. If you can get this right, you’re half way there. Experiences on offer shape the learning and teaching opportunities and maximise high quality interaction that meets the unique needs of two year olds.
This lively and interactive session will consider and explore:
- The powerful role of the adult and the importance of attachment
- Experiences that support the two year old brain including schematic development
- The learning environment as a teaching and learning resource
Learning methods include large and small group discussions, facilitated feedback and the chance to share good practice, and some use of presentations that include case studies and real life examples.
This workshop is suitable for anyone working across early years
