An explanation of what and how to record some of the teaching that occurs during free-flow play (‘planning in the moment’) Story scribing and cooking – two ways to bring literacy and maths into free-flow play.
Delegates will gain knowledge to give them confidence in explaining how children learn through their play and how best to organise this.
They will leave with various (optional) tasks to complete before Day 2, including developing an area of their environment, working on interactions, trialling a new format of paperwork.
They will also gain an introduction to ‘story scribing’ as a powerful way to improve the writing outcomes in their settings, without causing the children any anxiety or stress.
